As I am sure you are aware, there is often a lot to be desired with the current state of involvement, with tokenism still too common, though there are some examples of good practice. With the changes to the structures of mental health commissioning and regulation, it is important that the service user and carer voice is not lost, but becomes ‘hard wired’ in the way key organisations impacting on mental health services and support operate.
